About Mr Antony Wilkinson

Mr Wilkinson is Consultant and Clinical Head of Podiatric Surgery at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In addition to his NHS work, he also works in private practice. Mr Wilkinson is also the Chairman of Clinical Governance and Medical Advisory Committee at Ramsay Park Hill Hospital, representing the hospital Consultants. 

Mr Wilkinson is one of the leading Podiatric Surgeons in the UK and has more than 20 year’s experience in the field. Indeed, he has performed more than 15,000 surgical procedures during his career.

Mr Wilkinson graduated from the Northern College of Podiatry in 1990 and quickly became interested in foot and ankle surgery. Following membership exams with the Podiatry Association in 1994, he undertook surgical training in South Derbyshire. After gaining his fellowship in Podiatric Surgery in 1997, Mr Wilkinson continued his training Podiatric Surgery before being appointed as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon in 2002.

Mr Wilkinson was elected Dean of the Faculty of Podiatric Surgery in 2009, a post which he held for 3 years. During this time he was responsible for leading the strategic development of the profession on behalf of the College of Podiatry.

Mr Wilkinson has a reputation for clinical excellence and is committed to providing the best care possible. To this end, he regularly audits the results of his surgery using validated patient reported outcome measures.
