Apprenticeship Case Study
Name: Megan Holbert
Occupation: Health Care Assistant Apprentice
I first started my job role as an apprentice Health Care Assistant in January 2020. I have always wanted to join the healthcare sector but was unsure of how to get myself into it.
During my time working at Kinvara I have learnt how to monitor and take patients regular observations and record them, removal of cannulas, patient admission and discharge, and many more things. I have also been given the opportunity to go in to the operating theatre and watch surgery. This has given me more of an understanding on the different types of procedures that we do here and how they are performed.
My apprenticeship has allowed me to gain new skills and knowledge whilst working. It has also given me the opportunity to develop as an employee and have new exciting experiences which will hopefully benefit my future here at Kinvara!
Since joining Kinvara they have been nothing but supportive of me providing me with all of the relevant training, skills and knowledge that I will need to continue my apprenticeship. My career goal is to become a Nurse and having the support from the Kinvara team and my apprenticeship, I will have the steps in place to get me to where I would like to be.
I am really enjoying my time here and the new skills and knowledge I have gained so far. I hope to continue my career at Kinvara once my apprenticeship is over helping the hospital grow from strength to strength.

Name: Trudie Machin
Occupation: Business & Administration
In December 2020, I started my Business & Administration Level 3 apprenticeship with Kinvara Private Hospital. This was an exciting, yet scary time for me as I had decided to return back to education and get a qualification at the age of 35.
Kinvara has been great from the very first day. They have supported me in everything and have also provided me with extra training that is not included in the apprenticeship which will help me with my qualification and within the workplace.
I am not just working toward my apprenticeship but also learning about the private medical sector which is very interesting and giving me more knowledge each day.
I am very grateful to Kinvara Private Hospital for giving me the chance to gain a qualification within the workplace and look forward to developing my skills and knowledge and help Kinvara along the way.
