Permanent Lip Filler
Permalip implant is a revolutionary permanent method of lip enhancement & consists of a soft, solid, non-rupture silicone implant.
Do you desire fuller, plumper lips but don’t want to return every couple of months for top-up filler injections. If so, then Permalip may be the answer for you!
Permalip is a new type of permanent lip filler that consists of a soft, solid, non-rupture silicone implant that is inserted into the lip. The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic and the implant can be removed or replaced with a smaller or bigger size at anytime.
Permalip can be inserted into the upper and/or lower lip and the procedure takes approximately 20 mins per lip. The implants are inserted via two small 4mm incisions at the corner of the mouth. The implant is then passed through a tunnel created in the lip and centred. The incisions are closed with dissolving sutures and patients can return to normal activities the next day. There is no visible scarring as the incisions are made inside the corner of the lips.
To determine which size Permalip is best for you, Mr Karri will listen to your desires and measure your lips. It is important to understand Permalip does not alter the shape or position of the lip, or reduce height of the upper lip.
Permalip come in different lengths and widths and are tapered at each end to match the natural lip shape.
Prior to your surgery, Mr Karri and his team will give you detailed aftercare instructions. This will include how to care for the surgical site and incisions, pain relief that may be used to handle discomfort and when you may resume normal activity.

Fortunately, there are few risks with Permalip. These include;
Scar – incisions are made at the corner of the mouth
Swelling – patients should expect their lips to swell post-operatively with the swelling lasting for 3-4 days and bruising for 7 days.
Sensitivity – lips will be sensitive to pressure for about 2 weeks. This may cause difficulty with speaking, eating and drinking for a short while.
