The safety of our patients and colleagues at Kinvara Private Hospital is paramount. That is why we wanted to share with you, what we are doing to make the hospital a safe place to work and have surgery, during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Kinvara Private Hospital is regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission. We have been closely monitoring the situation and as such have put in place reasonable preventative measures aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19

Upon arrival, we ask all patients to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire and perform onsite temperature checks. The questionnaire helps in identifying patients with current or past infection or with current exposure and risk of infection. These patients will not be scheduled for consultations until their status has improved or been clarified, typically 14 days minimum.

We are also following all government guidelines on the use of testing to monitor staff by routinely using symptom questionnaires and daily temperature monitoring of all clinic staff and patients as part of their strategy to prevent the spread of infection.

Appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is provided to all staff and infection control principles adhered to. Staff have received additional training with regards to proper COVID-19 infection control methods. In addition to using appropriate PPE, Kinvara Private Hospital uses cleansing, disinfecting and sterilisation procedures throughout the hospital site.

We are also asking all patients to wear a mask or face covering and use the hand sanitiser provided at reception on arrival – adhering to government guidelines.

Prior to surgery, each patient is required to provide a negative PCR test and will be expected to self isolate once tested prior to your surgery.
