About Mr Jay Paniker, Consultant Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon

Mr Jay Paniker treats all conditions of the hand and wrist and has a specialist interest in hand and wrist arthroplasty (joint surgery) and arthroscopy (keyhole surgery). He is a Consultant Hand Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust since 2016.

Mr Paniker completed his specialist orthopaedic training in the Mersey region, followed by fellowship training in hand and wrist surgery. During his training he also completed a Masters Degree in Orthopaedics from Warwick University in 2011. He holds the British Diploma of Hand Surgery from the University of Manchester.

Mr Paniker is actively involved in teaching junior doctors through national courses and also works as an examiner. He has a keen academic interest and  has published and presented his work at many national & international conferences.

Mr Paniker’s philosophy is to provide high quality, patient-centred care consistently, guiding patients in making the right choices for them.
