Professional Profile

I obtained my medical degree and diploma in orthopaedics from Madras Medical College and Stanley Medical college respectively. I completed my basic surgical training in wales and my Specialist Registrar training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Sheffield. I completed fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery in Sheffield and in Derby. I also completed a hand fellowship at the Pulvertaft hand centre in Derby. I won the European Rheumatoid arthritis surgical society fellowship, Aesculap traveling fellowship and The young consultant travelling fellowship which took me to Japan, Mayo clinics in America and to Antwerp, Belgium respectively. These travelling fellowship widened my exposure to the advances in shoulder and elbow surgery . 

I have been providing patient centred evidence based shoulder and elbow surgery as a consultant for 10 years. My commitment to training was recognised as being voted as the trainer of the year in 2015 by the regional orthopaedic trainees.
